Some of my earliest memories involve my psychic abilities. Growing up I was not aware that everyone did not practice using their abilities. I also did not realize that I was using psychic abilities/intuition. It was just so natural. Now that I am older and have had the experience of talking with many people about intuition and psychic ability, I see how many of us are afraid of it and push it away.  I talk to people all of the time who tell me they pushed their natural abilities aside (usually beginning  as children and continuing on from there)  because they were afraid of being different or being labeled “weird”. That fear of being different becomes habit and they continue with the same unsuccessful and harmful unnecessary behavior as adults. Some people come from religious families where it is believed that only God or certain “special” people have such gifts. Fortunately for me, I have come to learn that we are all special. There is no need to wait for Oprah to have you on as a guest on her show to know that you are. You need not be plucked from obscurity either. We are more intuition than mind. As a child, I got much joy out of “guessing” who was lying and who was telling the truth, what clothing friends would wear on certain days, and at times relying upon it to help me with really serious matters. For years I labeled myself “ A good judge of character”. I never factored in that  I had not met many of the people I was “judging” character on!! I just had a constant stream of energy flowing through me, that was just so natural; it was difficult to know what I did and did not know. Like most, I did not always listen to the energy in my life that was showing up through lessons. So like many I stumbled with the same lessons over and over. I was convinced I needed to be smarter, or read faster or be right. But unlike most, I decided to change that fact. I had no formal teachers on my path to energy. I did know to consult others who recognized their gifts and the value of them. But only once I was serious about moving forward. The biggest lesson I learned from them, was trust. Through my journey I’ve come to see that being myself is more of a shedding process than acquiring. While in my late 20’s I became interested in healing. I was initially shocked to discover I had hands on healing abilities. Once I got used to the idea, I decided to practice using it and learning more on my own. I began a focused journey of understanding and acknowledging the energy of my life and the lives of others. I worked with using and learning about my natural healing abilities for several years. This was a very enlightening experience. I learned to channel the knowledge of higher ascended Master Teachers, Guides and Healers. At some point I heard about Reiki. My first Reiki experience left me with laryngitis! It was not your typical life changing spiritual experience. But something about it really spoke to me.  Reiki became a part of my life, when I decided it might help me with my natural abilities. It did! In 2004 I became a Certified Reiki Master and followed up after about a year of practice and continued learning with my Reiki Master Teacher Certification Training.

 

I love Energy. I love teaching others about it, I love hands on healing, I love giving readings.
